Lesson 1 does not produce any files, but instead encourages you to try out the drawing tools in Flash. For that reason, there are no files to download for Lesson 1.

However, there is a Flash movie that demonstrates some things you can do with the drawing tools. Click SWF to play the movie.

Flash 8 Notes: Object Drawing

The biggest change affecting Lesson 1 is the addition of the new Object Drawing option. This may make things easier or harder for new Flash learners. I'm not sure which one it will be!

You can still draw using all the old methods, so this change does not replace anything from past versions.

If you draw something with Object Drawing selected, but you did not want it to be an object, you can convert it to a normal shape by Ungrouping the object (Modify menu). However, the reverse action does not work: A grouped shape is not the same as a Drawing Object.
